Comp analysis

Core idea and suitable matchups.

The composition is built around the three core traits of Challenger, Brawler, and Berserker, forming a three-dimensional combat system with a solid frontline tank line, midline fighter engagers, and backline ranged carriers. Kindred and Yi serve as the dual core carries, supported by Bel'Veth and Akali's cleanup potential, providing ample damage. The tanks absorb damage through the high health bonuses from Brawlers, while Berserkers' omnivamp and physical bonuses allow fighters to sustain and heal in combat, offering excellent survivability. In positioning, frontline tanks spread out to draw fire, midline fighters protect the backline and look for engages, and backline ranged dealers output safely, making the comp adaptable to various situations.

Game plan

Tempo, rolling, leveling and transition notes.

Item DistributionCore carry Kindred recommends Guinsoo's Rageblade, Infinity Edge, and Last Whisper to maximize attack speed, crit, and penetration; Yi recommends Bloodthirster, Titan's Resolve, and Infinity Edge for a balance of survivability and burst; main tank Urgot recommends Warmog's Armor, Bramble Vest, and Dragon's Claw to ensure frontline tankiness. For other units, do not force items; prioritize completing the core three items first.Comp Strengths1. High trait synergy: Challenger provides high attack speed, Berserker gives physical damage and omnivamp, Brawler grants bonus health – stacking these makes fighters both deal damage and tank. 2. Dual core carries: Kindred deals sustained ranged damage while Yi offers melee burst and cleanup, making it hard for enemies to counter both at once. 3. Low cost frontline: multiple 1- and 2-cost Brawlers are easy to find and upgrade, stabilizing HP in the mid game. 4. Bonus traits: Sea Devil, Nova Squad, and PsyOps provide additional benefits, boosting overall power.Comp Weaknesses1. Relies on 4-cost units: Kindred and Yi are both 4-cost, requiring luck and economy after level 7; without 2-star carries you may lose too much HP. 2. Lacks large-area crowd control: The comp has few strong AoE CC abilities, so it can be wiped by clumped enemy teams. 3. Limited late-game ceiling: With no 5-cost units, the comp may lack damage against full 5-cost top-tier lineups in the late game.Early Game TransitionEarly game, prioritize picking Brawler and Berserker units like Rek'Sai, Cho'Gath, Gragas, Akali, etc., paired with any backline like Ezreal to activate 2 Challenger or 2 Berserker. Give items to a temporary holder (e.g., recurve bow for Guinsoo's). Either win or lose streak is acceptable – focus on maintaining health and economy. At 3-2, level to 6 and do a small roll to stabilize with 2-star tanks and 2-cost units.Comp ExecutionAfter level 6, do not rush to level up; slow roll at interest thresholds to 3-star 1-cost tanks like Rek'Sai and Cho'Gath for extra frontline durability. If Kindred and Yi come early, level to 7 and roll for 2-star Kindred and Yi, then save gold to reach level 8 and complete the comp while chasing 3-star 3-cost Urgot. Positioning: place Kindred in a corner to avoid assassins, and put Yi on the same side as the tanks to facilitate his engage.AlternativesIf Kindred is not hitting, Jinx or Diana can replace the Challenger spot, though power will drop. If Yi is not hitting, Fiora (5-cost Berserker) can replace him, but this requires a stronger late-game economy. As for tanks, Maokai or Pantheon can replace any Brawler without breaking the trait. If the Sea Devil trait is missing Rek'Sai, Briar can substitute (Briar is also Sea Devil + Ranger, though Ranger is not required); just adjust positioning accordingly.
